Amber Heard : Mystique in ‘X-Men: First Class’ ?

That’s a bad news, finally , Amber is not the future Mystique in ‘X-Men: First Class’. You can read below article from screenrant.com. You can also see first stills from The Rum Diary (not Amber’s Pictures) here. And Amber may be invited to the premiere of the film Salt with Angelina Jolie!!

Another mutant has been cast for Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming X-Men: First Class! We previously reported the rumor that Fox was interested in Amber Heard (Pineapple Express) for the role of Mystique, the blue shape-shifting mutant played by Rebecca Romijn in the X-Men trilogy, but now we can confirm that they’ve chosen someone different.

Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone) has reportedly been cast as another one of the many late-teen actors for the X-Men prequel. The character of Mystique was a prosthetic-heavy role for Romijn in the previous movies where the character was known to not be afraid to show some skin.
With the story of X-Men: First Class paying heavy attention to the origins and relationship between the younger Professor Charles Xavier and the younger Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, we can assume that Mystique may start out as one of the early recruits for Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. As Magneto eventually takes his own path, he brings Mystique with him on his quest to ensure mutant superiority.

With relatively unknown 19 year-old Lawrence (soon to be 20) nabbing the role, there’s still a chance Amber Heard could play a part in the movie. As our own Kofi Outlaw suggested, Heard could easily pull off the look of Jean Grey, one of the first main X-Men team members and franchise characters. Heard however, is 24 years of age and we still don’t know if they’re looking for teen actors for the leading roles of Cyclops and Jean.
