After her marriage to Johnny Depp, and her honeymoon in the Bahamas, Amber is back to work. She has been spotted on the set of her upcoming movie ‘The Danish Girl‘, where she plays Oola in the 1920s-set film. You can see pictures of Amber in Oxfordshire, UK, on February 27th in the gallery.

This is a great news, because now, we know that Amber is officially part of the cast of this movie, directed by Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech, Les Misérables), belong to Alicia Vikander and Oscar-winning Eddie Redmayne. You can read more information about this movie, and Amber’s character below.

The actress was seen walking about on location at Didcot Railway Centre, a former railway storage that was converted into an locomotive museum, filled with steam engines that would provide the perfect backdrop for the 100-year-old setting.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Amber has been hard at work at Pineapple Dance Studios in the English capital, with a source saying: ‘While Amber is over the moon to be engaged to Johnny and in wedded bliss, she’s really determined to be taken seriously as an actress in her own right so is determined to nail the meatier roles.‘. The report claimed she was spending up to five hours a day working out at the dance studio in preparation for the role.

‘Not only is she determined to nail the moves, but she wants to achieve a convincing muscular ballet dancer’s physique as well so has been putting her body through its paces,’ the source added. Set in Copenhagen, the film tells the story of Einar Wegener, the first ever man to have gender reassignment surgery. When his artist wife Gerda Wegener – played by Alicia Vikander – asks him to stand in for a female model, the pictures become increasingly popular, while Einar becomes increasing attracted to life as a female.

Eddie Redmayne, whose transformation into the ALS-afflicted Professor Stephen Hawking earned him the Best Actor Oscar at last Sunday’s Academy Awards, will play the title role, while Heard plays ballet dancer Oola.
